Ingredients

Preparation
- Step 1
- Generously season the meat with salt and pepper. Heat the oil in a pan and sear the pork. Transfer to the slow cooker.
- Step 2
- In the same pan, sauté the onions. Add the onions and the remaining ingredients to the slow cooker.
- Step 3
- Cook on low for approximately 6 hours, or until the meat comes apart with a fork.
- Step 4
- If you want, transfer the cooking juices to a pot and reduce to a syrupy texture.
- Step 5
- Serve with mashed potatoes, celeriac, or root vegetables and green veggies, to taste.
Variation
If cooking in the oven, preheat to 165C (325F). Cook covered for approximately 4 hours, or until meat comes apart with a fork.
