Preparation
- Step 1
- In a pot of boiling water, boil quartered baby potatoes for 7 minutes. Add green beans and cook another 7 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Drain and let cool in an uncovered bowl in the fridge.
- Step 2
- Meanwhile, heat oil in a skillet over high heat and fry onion and garlic for 2 minutes. Add ground beef and break it up into pieces using a wooden spoon. Cook meat for 5 minutes, or until no longer pinkish.
- Step 3
- Reduce heat and add tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and spices. Mix well. Let simmer.
- Step 4
- Preheat barbecue to medium and oil grill.
- Step 5
- Remove potatoes and green beans from fridge and combine with the remaining ingredients for the salad. Mix well and place back in fridge until ready to serve.
- Step 6
- Grill Italian sausages covered for about 5 minutes per side or until internal temperature reaches 70°C (160°F). Set aside.
- Step 7
- Grill hot dog buns for 2 minutes.
- Step 8
- Garnish each bun with an Italian sausage, simmered chili sauce, and grated cheese. Serve with baby potato and green bean salad.
