can red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 box of 540 ml
Salt and pepper, to taste
Toppings
Sour cream
Lime zest
A few fresh cilantro leaves
Shredded cheddar
Preparation
Step 1
In a saucepan, heat the oil and sweat the onion and garlic. Add the meat and brown, stirring with a wooden spoon to break it up.
Step 2
Season with the spices and mix well. Stir in tomatoes and beans. Cover and simmer over low heat for about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 3
Top with a dollop of sour cream or plain Greek yogurt, lime zest, cilantro leaves, and shredded cheddar cheese, to taste.
