Preparation
Step 1
Whip one cup of cream at a time until almost completely whipped. Transfer to a large chilled bowl.
Step 2
Gradually incorporate icing sugar to bowl and whip mixture, spreading sugar throughout and fully whipping the cream. Refrigerate.
Step 3
Place cake cubes in a trifle bowl or large 3L glass bowl to create a base layer.
Step 4
Place a row of sliced strawberries all the way around the inside of the bowl.
Step 5
Spread whipped cream over cake cubes, making sure not to touch the bowl. Top with berries of your choice.
Step 6
Place a second row of sliced strawberries around the edge of the bowl.
Step 7
Spread chocolate pudding over berry layer, taking care not to touch the bowl. Lightly press another layer of cake cubes into pudding.
Step 8
Spread whipped cream evenly over cake cubes.
Step 9
Decorate trifle to your liking with berries, cake cubes, and whipped cream, and finish by sprinkling chocolate chunks over top.
Step 10
Cover and refrigerate until serving. Only build trifle 1 or 2 hours in advance.
