Preparation
- Step 1
- Prepare a fire with a dozen logs, and wait until they are reduced to charcoal, about 30 to 45 minutes, turning them from time to time.
- Step 2
- In a bowl, mix the eggs, milk, and maple syrup. Dip the bread into the mixture and slide onto the skewers.
- Step 3
- Place the skewers on a grill over the fire. Brown the Kabobs on each side.
- Step 4
- Serve with a spoonful of yogurt, berries, a drizzle of maple syrup, and a pinch of cinnamon.
Variation
The height of the grill over the fire may vary depending on the intensity of the charcoal. Before cooking, check if it is hot enough by placing your hand 20 cm or so above the flames. The embers are hot enough when you cannot keep your hand there more than two or three seconds without burning yourself.
