Preparation

Step 1
Spoon 80 mL (⅓ cup) chocolate spread in a medium-sized coffee mug and heat in microwave for 10 seconds to liquefy.
Step 2
Add egg to mug and stir vigorously with a fork. Incorporate flour, cocoa, and sugar. Add 30 mL (2 tbsp.) of chocolate spread on top of mixture and press down gently with a spoon.
Step 3
Cook in microwave on high for 45 seconds to 1 minute, or until top is firm, but still gooey. Keep an eye on mug during cooking to make sure it doesn’t overflow or overcook.
Step 4
Let cool for a few minutes. Top with a scoop of ice cream and chocolate chunks. Serve immediately.
